Project Scope

From 2003 – 2009, NGS were the selected solutions partner and provider for both Dell PC manufacturing plants in Europe. Our solutions included the design, manufacture and installation of advanced process solutions such as ergonomic workstations and build cells, integrated assembly lines, automated material conveyors, bespoke flow racks, extended test solutions and general industrial furniture.

Our in-house engineering team became part of Dell’s team of process engineers for the project duration and all of the solutions were manufactured in our facility in Shannon. Our installation team were responsible for all aspects of on-site installations and commissioning in both plants and the total duration of all projects was close to 6 years. Our engineers also developed a unique system for the control and dispensation of license labels with integration of the controller interface to the MRP system for license cost reporting and invoicing. This solution was installed in both plants and also ensured that double allocation of these labels could not happen.
